This is stated in a statement by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“The State Department took measures to identify 39 persons responsible for undermining Belarusian democracy, and imposed visa restrictions on them,” Pompeo said.
The US Secretary of State explained that in general, today such restrictions apply to 63 people.
Earlier, the US Treasury announced the introduction of new sanctions against a number of organizations and officials of Belarus, including against the country's first deputy minister of internal affairs, Gennady Kazakevich.
