Sofia Larsson was mentally abused - now supports others

Violence in a close relationship does not always leave visible bruises.

For Sofia Larsson, the wounds are inside, after verbal and psychological abuse from a former boyfriend.

- He promised me all the things I wanted in life and I fell in love.

Then it started pretty straightforward with subtle stuff, which just became more and more common, says Sofia Larsson.

- I was stupid, disgusting and crazy.

But I thought he just wanted me well, that he said it to be kind.

It was the man who finally ended the relationship.

Sofia Larsson remained with thoughts that it was her that was wrong.

- I was broken.

I've gone to three psychologists to find out I'm not crazy.

Today I feel better.

I'm really not at the finish line yet, but I'm well on my way to feeling that I'm good as I am.
