Participants in the "Arab Media .. Geopolitical Transformations" session during the activities of the Arab Media Forum in its 19th session, in which a group of officials and specialists participated, stressed the need not to adhere to traditional media outlets and direct the media to focus on Arab issues and create new media content in line with With the digital developments taking place around the world, to serve all Arab countries, to strengthen the tools used, to upgrade the media cadres to defend Arab issues, to reject hate speech, and to constantly broadcast awareness messages about the existence of a coherent and unified strategy for the official media.

At the beginning of the session, the head of the Gulf Forum for Security and Peace, Dr. Fahad Al-Shulaimi, affirmed that the crises suffered by the Arab media come as a direct result of what he called "the Arab Autumn", not the Arab Spring as some prefer to call it. It focused on development issues, and worked according to the media honor charter, and thus it always stems from the truth.

He added that technology has turned the private news into an international topic, pointing to the simple source of news, such as the phone camera, which has become one of the most important means of transmitting information to the world, and transmitting videos and news, whether positive or negative.

The head of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, Dr. Ali Al-Nuaimi, emphasized that digital media has become an urgent necessity to reach the Arab public, and that Arab media needs to create a public opinion that carries a developmental concern for the future of the region.

And he indicated that everyone should adopt digital media, which has become mandatory and not an option for the multiplicity of the audience, pointing out that the Arab region has suffered the dominance of the culture of interest in the political aspect since the beginning of the emergence of the media, which affected other aspects in the skills of individuals, indicating that the Arab peoples are living in battles. Others, including the American election battle that our Arab society lived through, and its transformation into a crisis of Arab peoples, not the American people.

The writer and journalist, Sawsan Al-Shaer, indicated that there is a coherent strategic vision in the Arab media, which is the first basis from which we can start a competitive media industry that serves the interests of the peoples of the region and speaks their language.

She indicated the need for states to know the importance of the role of digital media, and to develop it to reach wider segments of society, and the need to improve the use of these new means of media, and not to adhere to the traditional media ideology to prevent rumors from entering societies.
