A new lighting system for Mussafah Bridge in Abu Dhabi

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, through the infrastructure and municipality assets sector, has completed the Mussafah Bridge lighting modernization project, as part of its continuity in upgrading the aesthetic appearance of the infrastructure components and public facilities, the road system, bridges, and tunnels, in order to achieve the highest public safety standards, and to use the latest types of standard lighting. Cosmopolitan and aesthetic.

The municipality indicated that the project to modernize the lighting of the Mussafah Bridge - being a strategic crossing to Abu Dhabi Island - included replacing old lighting poles and traditional searchlights into decorative lighting poles and LED headlamps, which are energy-saving and achieve the quality of lighting on the road, and removing the old decorative columns on both sides of the bridge. And maintenance of the ball-shaped lighting devices located on both sides of the bridge.   

On the most important positive benefits of the project, the municipality explained that it contributed to improving the level of lighting, adding an aesthetic character to the armored bridge, increasing the life span and operational life of the lighting network, and reducing electricity consumption and carbon emissions by 73% due to the use of modern lighting technologies.

She emphasized that it is continuing within its plans to develop and improve lighting by using the latest technologies that contribute to raising the quality of lighting for road users, rationalizing electricity consumption, and reducing carbon emissions.
