Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - The Frankfurt Higher Regional Court grants the investigative committee of the Hessian state parliament into the murder of Walter Lübcke to inspect the files of the criminal proceedings.

The court announced on Tuesday on the sidelines of the trial in Frankfurt, in which the evidence has now been completed.

Initially, the Higher Regional Court rejected a request from the parliamentary body on the grounds that witnesses could be influenced in their statements if they were to be informed in advance about the contents of the files via media reports.

The decision was controversial.

The parliamentary committee had lodged a complaint against it in order to be able to fight for the surrender.
