Munich (dpa) - "Traumschiff" captain Florian Silbereisen suddenly suffered from wanderlust in the Corona year.
"Travel means freedom and my generation has never had to deal with the subject of travel restrictions or even waiver," said Silbereisen in an interview with the German press agency.
"That should make us all humble."
There have often been years with him in which he did not travel much and still had no wanderlust.
But in 2020 it was different: "I've dealt with it intensively and could now philosophize for a long time."
The explanation is simple.
“First, I've never had so much free time.
No tour, no concerts, galas and so on.
And secondly: if something is only possible to a limited extent or even prohibited, we want it even more. "
On December 26th, Silbereisen can be seen again as Captain Max Parger on ZDF (8:15 p.m.).
Then the “dream ship” sets course for Cape Town.
