According to the latest figures published Tuesday evening, 61,702 people have died from the coronavirus in France since the start of the epidemic.

The number of hospitalizations and resuscitations down

For several days, the authorities have been worried about a "worrying" resumption of the epidemic, on the eve of the end of the year holidays.

As of Monday, more than 1,700 new admissions (1,776) have been recorded in the last 24 hours at the hospital because of the Covid-19.

The number of patients with Covid-19 currently hospitalized is 24,964 (or 269 less than Sunday) and 2,728 patients are in intensive care (18 less than the day before), according to data from Public Health France.
