  Article 30 of the draft clarifies this point: if radio stations, television stations, and network audio and video service providers produce, publish, and disseminate programs or audio and video information that promote food waste such as overeating, overeating, etc., the competent department of radio and television , The cybersecurity and informatization department shall order corrections and give warnings in accordance with their respective responsibilities; if they refuse to make corrections or the circumstances are serious, they shall be fined 10,000 yuan (RMB, the same below) and less than 100,000 yuan, and may be ordered to suspend related businesses and suspend business for rectification. The responsible person in charge and other directly responsible persons shall be held accountable in accordance with the law.

  Chinese officials have always advocated strict economy and oppose extravagance and waste.   The draft text consists of 32 articles, which respectively stipulate definitions, principles and requirements for anti-food waste, responsibilities of the government and its departments, responsibilities of various entities, regulatory measures, and legal responsibilities.

And clarify the definition of food waste: food that is safe to eat or drink is not used in accordance with its functional purpose.

  The draft also carried out the design of the anti-food waste system, stipulating that the local people's government at or above the county level announces the anti-food waste work to the public every year, and proposes to strengthen the anti-food waste measures.

People's governments at all levels and their relevant departments have established anti-food waste supervision and inspection mechanisms.

  "Any unit or individual who discovers food wastes by food producers and operators shall have the right to report to the relevant competent departments and agencies." The draft said.

This legislation hopes to form a pattern of multiple measures, precise policy implementation, scientific management, and social governance.
