Magdeburg (AP) - Head of sport Otmar Schork from the third division soccer club 1. FC Magdeburg sees the transfer period starting on January 2nd as critical.
In an interview with the “Magdeburger Volksstimme” (Tuesday), Schork said they only had a very short Christmas break.
“There is no three to four week preparation with a training camp, with test matches.
We hardly have time to integrate newcomers.
A new player may have just arrived, but will be on the pitch a few days later, ”said the 63-year-old.
Possible newcomers should primarily strengthen the offensive of the current bottom of the table in the 3rd division.
It doesn't matter whether they are young or experienced players.
"We need to be convinced that the potential new addition will definitely help us," said Schork.
