December 21, 2020 "People have to get the vaccine as soon as it is available, there is nothing to fear". So President-elect Joe Biden, doing immunization live on TV in Newark (Delaware), urges Americans to do the same.
"This is only the beginning of ending the pandemic," Biden noted, asking Americans to continue with measures to contain the infections, such as social distancing or masks.
At his side his wife Jill who had already been vaccinated a few hours earlier. Biden thanked all health workers, including the nurse who administered the vaccine, calling them "heroes".
