As much to tell you right away, the story ended badly for the animal.

A deer that was being tracked by hunters burst into the parking lot of an Intermarché store on Saturday, in the middle of the morning, in Basse-Ham, near Thionville (Moselle).

Terrorized and injured, the deer tried to hide as best they could under carts, in front of stunned customers.

A hunting dog was after him, reports

Le Républicain Lorrain

.

Warned by the supermarket manager using the number on the dog's collar, two uniformed hunters then arrived to retrieve the dog and load the deer in their vehicle.

Shocked customers filmed the scene.

Others tried to rescue the animal.

Thanks to Magali Lauterfing who sent me these images and who especially tried to save this deer, unfortunately in vain.
