The trade association Visby Centrum on Gotland does not see the new recommendations as particularly stressful.

- I do not think it is really a major challenge.

We have been working on this all the time, since before the Christmas shopping, says Magnus Olsson, operations manager for Visby center.

The new restrictions mean, among other things, stores are urged to refrain from mid-day sales and that a ceiling is set for the number of people in stores and shopping centers.

But the exact figure is determined by the traders themselves.

- I think they handle it very well.

We have issued the information that it should be safe for both employees and visitors, says Magnus Olsson.
