The European Medicines Agency issued a statement regarding the effectiveness of the Corona virus vaccine and the dangerousness of the new strain that originated from Britain and caused terror in Europe before it reached Africa.

While several countries began distributing the vaccine, the International Police (Interpol) warned of numerous crimes and dangerous corruption operations linked to the vaccine.

The European Medicines Agency said today, Thursday, "We will need more vaccinations to meet the need not only in Europe but in all countries of the world."

The agency stressed that "the Corona vaccine will help in combating the virus," and considered it a scientific achievement and "the result of cooperation between many institutions around the world."

She added, "The Corona vaccine will be available in all European countries at the same time ... We have agreed to license the use of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine against the Coronavirus."

And regarding the new strain that appeared in Britain recently, the agency said, "There is no evidence that the vaccine will not work against the new strain of Corona virus."

"So far, there is no evidence to suggest that this vaccine lacks effectiveness against the new strain," said IAEA Director General Imer Koc.

Several countries imposed a ban on entry to those coming from Britain, and suspended travel to it after the emergence of the new strain, which is spreading rapidly.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, "We understand that there are concerns around us about the new strain of Corona and we have initiated measures to stop its spread."

In the same context, the US Assistant Secretary of Health said that the new Corona strain is not more dangerous than the regular virus, and that its spread in Britain is worrying.

He added that the new Corona strain is faster transmission, and the vaccine, muzzle and spacing are the best ways to confront.

To Africa

It was reported that several countries, including Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Israel, banned flights from South Africa today, Monday, due to the discovery of a new strain of the Corona virus.

And the South African Ministry of Health said, earlier, that a new genetic mutation for "Covid-19" appeared in the country, and it may be responsible for the rise in cases recently.

Germany said it plans to impose restrictions on flights to and from South Africa and Britain, where the new strain has also been detected.

Aviation experts expected other countries and airlines to announce similar decisions, at least until the matter becomes more clear.

The head of the Civil Aviation Authority in Sudan, Ibrahim Adlan, said that his country will prevent entry to those coming from Britain, the Netherlands and South Africa, as of Wednesday, December 23, due to the discovery of a new strain of Corona virus.

He added that this ban is valid for a period of 3 weeks and is renewable, and that more countries could be added to the list as the situation develops.

Crimes and corruption

For his part, Chief of International Police (Interpol), Juergen Stock, expected a "significant" increase in crime during the delivery of doses of vaccines against "Covid-19".

"With the delivery of vaccines, crime will increase dramatically," Stoke said in the German magazine "Wirtschaftwuffe".

"We will witness thefts, break-ins and attacks while vaccines are transported," he added.

He also expected, on the other hand, the return of corruption "in order to obtain precious treatment more quickly."

In Germany, the Federal Police has been entrusted with the responsibility of delivering vaccine doses that will be stored in secret locations.

Some also fear that "anti-vaccinators" will sabotage them.

Since its appearance in Wuhan, China a year ago, the new Corona virus has so far infected more than 76 million and 700 thousand around the world, of whom about 1.7 million have died, while more than 48 million have recovered.
