In Russia, the coronavirus was detected in 29 350 people per day

“Over the past 24 hours, 29 350 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia in 84 regions,” the statement said. 

During the day, 493 deaths were recorded, 19 705 people recovered.

The day before, 28,948 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Russia, 511 patients died, and 20,915 people recovered. 

As Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted, the healthcare system was not without problems, but responded quickly enough to the challenge of the pandemic.

In the fall, Anatoly Altstein, professor of virology at the Gamaleya Center, in an interview with the NSN, recalled the risks in the asymptomatic course of the coronavirus.
