Potsdam (dpa / bb) - According to the industry association Dehoga, hotels and restaurants in Brandenburg can count on the final processing and subsequent payment of the November aid applied for from January 10th.

That was agreed in a conversation with Economics Minister Jörg Steinbach (SPD), said Dehoga President Olaf Schöpe on Monday.

Previously, according to him, discounts had already been paid to those affected.

The December aid to compensate for the financial losses should then follow about four weeks later.

The goal is that the applications of the companies that have received no or only a proportionately very small advance payment in the past few weeks, are approved particularly quickly, said Steinbach.

He assured that the advance payments for the November aid for all companies that only received 10,000 euros would be increased to a maximum of 50,000 euros this year, depending on their entitlement.

So it was agreed with the federal government.

Schöpe welcomed the fact that the December aid would be the same as the November aid.

"This is a positive signal for our businesses, which are worried about their existence," he said.

The Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB) is responsible for processing the applications for extraordinary economic aid.

According to Schöpe, more individual, “pandemic-proof” solutions for the industry will have to be considered for the coming year.

The Ministry of Economics and the association are still in talks.

"Just opening and closing is not a long-term solution," said the Dehoga President.

It is about a future strategy and not just about help.

This included, among other things, offers of support for the development of new business areas.
