U.S. President-elect Joe Biden publicly vaccinated the COVID-19 vaccine jointly developed by Pfizer-Bio&Tech.

Biden was vaccinated at Cristiana Care in Newark, Delaware on the afternoon of the 21st local time, and the scene was broadcast live and over the Internet.

The transition committee announced on the 18th that Biden will be publicly vaccinated on the same day to relieve public distrust of the vaccine.

The Pfizer-Bio&Tech vaccine, approved for urgent use by the US Food and Drug Administration and the FDA, has been vaccinated against medical staff since the beginning of last week.

The vaccine must be given a second injection three weeks after the first vaccination, so Biden is expected to receive an additional dose on or after the 11th of next month, just before the inauguration ceremony of the president.

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be vaccinated this or next week, following medical advice from the medical staff to stagger the doses of Biden-elect.

Earlier, Vice President Mike Pence was publicly vaccinated in the Eisenhower administrative building next to the White House on the 18th, as well as Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Representative Chuck Schumer, and Republican Senate Mitch McConnell.
