Berlin (dpa / bb) - Berlin gets the first 9750 vaccination doses from Biontech this Saturday.
The Senate Department for Health announced this on Monday evening via Twitter.
Next Monday, 19,500 more cans will follow, and two days later another 29,500. That is a total of almost 59,000 cans.
From the beginning of 2021, weekly deliveries of 29,750 vaccine doses are expected, it said.
A corona vaccination consists of two doses per person.
This means that around 29,400 people could be vaccinated with the doses from December, and more than 59,000 people with those from January.
Health Senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD) said on Monday after a tour of the vaccination center in the Arena Treptow (Treptow-Köpenick), the start of the mobile vaccination teams, which are to drive to the nursing homes, is planned for this Sunday.
