At noon on December 21, the Beita Road Fire and Rescue Station of Shaoyang City received an alarm. An explosion occurred in the 42-building garbage transfer station of Jiangbei Market in Beita District and some people were trapped.
The Beita Road Fire and Rescue Station dispatched a fire truck and 7 officers and soldiers to the scene.
Preliminary investigation by the public security department of Beita District revealed that the cause of the accident was that a type of "tire armor" bottle collected and compressed by the deceased in the garbage transfer station caused an explosion.
