21 December 2020Bars, restaurants and shops closed, hotels open, but only guests who stay overnight can use their services;

freedom of movement throughout South Tyrol;

curfew from 10pm to 5am;

It is allowed to celebrate with grandparents, parents, children and partners, but with a strong recommendation to keep the number of people low.

This is what the ordinance signed in the evening by the South Tyrolean governor Arno Kompatscher provides.

"We have decided - he says - to entrust ourselves to the personal responsibility of the people of South Tyrol, leaving a little more freedom of movement, but with an appeal not to abuse it for home visits".

"We show solidarity and community especially at Christmas, limit contacts, wear masks, keep our distance and pay attention to hand hygiene", emphasizes President Kompatscher.

With the ordinance n.

76, in force from Christmas Eve to Epiphany, the Province adopts its own measures with respect to state regulations on the containment of the coronavirus infection.

Province President Arno Kompatscher signed the ordinance this Monday evening, December 21st.

The ordinance provides that bars and restaurants remain closed.

Similarly, commercial establishments are closed (with exceptions defined by the Ateco code, for example supermarkets, grocery stores, as well as retail shops that sell products of daily use, pharmacies, parapharmacies, newsagents, tobacconists) and personal services, except of laundries, funeral services, hairdressers and barbers.

Take-away service (until 20.00) and home delivery service (until 22.00) are available.

Freedom of movement remains in effect throughout the Province during the day.

From 22.00 to 5.00 it is forbidden to leave your home, except for work and health reasons and for urgent needs with a self-declaration that can also be presented on site in case of control.

The accommodation facilities will remain open, but only guests who stay overnight can use their services.

It is allowed to celebrate in the circle of the closest relatives (grandparents, parents, children, partners).

However, it is expressly recommended to keep the number of people in one place low.

The number of people outside the family who can visit it is fixed in two in the ordinance, in analogy to state regulations.

Outdoor parties and events are not allowed, in private residences or in accommodation facilities.

In accommodation facilities, the common areas must be closed at 11.00 pm.

High schools and vocational schools will have 75 percent attendance starting January 7th.

The ordinance also provides that, starting from 7 January, school and educational activities in high schools and professional schools are given in the presence of a maximum of 75% of students.
