The criminal track is envisaged after the discovery of the body of a sixty-year-old after the fire of his house in Sevran, in Seine-Saint-Denis, we learned this Sunday from the Bobigny prosecutor's office.
The body of this man was found by the emergency services called to put out a pavilion fire which had broken out on rue Gabriel Péri on Saturday at the end of the day, firefighters said.
Suspicious elements then led to consider a criminal act.
A witness said he saw a person leave the scene before the fire started, according to the Actu17 site which revealed the information.
An investigation, entrusted to the criminal brigade, was opened for "intentional homicide" and "voluntary degradation by dangerous means", said the prosecution.
An autopsy must be performed during the day on the victim, aged 69, added this source.
No arrests had taken place at midday.
