On Sunday, he skied with Laurien van der Graaff to win his sprint doubles victory the day before.

The wins are Fähndrich's first in the World Cup.

For Van der Graaff, the victory was third in the World Cup.

Russia's Julia Stupak and Natalia Nepryaeva offered the Swiss duo the strongest resistance.

Slovenia's Eva Urevc and Anamarija Lampic finished third.

World Cup leader Aleksandr Bolshunov and Gleb Retivih took the victory in the men’s doubles competition to Russia.

Richard Jouve and Lucas Chanavat of France finished second ahead of Francesco de Fabiania and Federico Pellegrino of Italy.

The Nordic countries did not participate in the Dresden competitions.
