It was a Saturday night in February that the policeman was at the party.

Among other things, alcohol was served and the company shared two bottles of wine.

After the invitation, the police, despite consuming alcohol, got in their car to drive home.

But something happened on the road and the police drove into a lamppost and a roadblock.

Appeared drunk

After the accident, he met a couple of witnesses who during the trial described that the man appeared drunk.

The witnesses called the police and meanwhile the policeman disappeared from the scene.

A little later, other police officers knocked on the home of the drunk man and took him to the hospital for sampling.

Drunk driving and infection

The man has since been charged with aggravated drunk driving and contagion from a traffic accident site, but when the district court has now handed down its verdict, the man is convicted of drunk driving of the normal degree and contagion.

If the man had been convicted of aggravated drunk driving, his career in the police would have been at risk, there is now much to suggest that he will be allowed to keep his job.

The policeman is sentenced to pay a fine.
