Magdeburg (AP) - Handball Bundesliga club SC Magdeburg celebrated their sixth competitive game win in a row against HSG Nordhorn-Lingen.

On Sunday afternoon, the SCM clearly prevailed with 28:20 (12: 9).

Lukas Mertens (6) was the best Magdeburg shooter, for Nordhorn Pavel Mickal and Philipp Vorlicek (4 each) scored the most.

Magdeburg had a tough time against the HSG in the early stages, trailing behind (3: 4/9.).

Nordhorn quickly turned a first Magdeburg tour, no team pulled away.

The SCM lacked the flow of the game, and the Elbestädter failed again and again because of Björn Buhrmester in the HSG goal.

It was only shortly before the break that Magdeburg set itself apart in the low-level game.

After the break, the SCM picked up the pace and increased the lead (16: 11/36.).

Nordhorn was no longer able to follow and could no longer exploit the Magdeburg mistakes that still existed.

Ten minutes before the end, the game was decided at 23:13.
