The pension reform has come to a halt due to the health crisis linked to the coronavirus epidemic.

But for Élisabeth Borne, Minister of Labor, Employment and Integration, invited Sunday of the "Grand Rendez-vous", "this reform remains necessary".

INTERVIEW

The government pension reform project, which fueled social news for several weeks at the start of the year, has been suspended due to the coronavirus epidemic.

In early December, the President of the Republic had explained during a lunch that the reform was "not topical" or "not on the agenda", according to invited senators.

The Elysee Palace subsequently denied press reports indicating an announcement of a postponement after 2022. "The pension reform remains necessary," says Élisabeth Borne, Minister of Labor, Employment and Insertion, guest on Sunday of the Grand Rendez-vous, on Europe 1.
