Dresden (dpa) - The World Cup weekend for cross-country skiers in Dresden did not feed the hope of a successful home world championship in Oberstdorf in February.
There were also no top performances in the team sprint competitions on Sunday.
The women's duo Laura Gimmler / Sofie Krehl from Oberstdorf crossed the finish line in seventh place, twelve seconds behind the Swiss Laurien van der Graaff and Nadine Fähndrich.
In the men's category, Thomas Bing / Sebastian Eisenlauer (Dermbach / Sonthofen) had to settle for seventh place, eight seconds behind.
The Russians Alexander Bolschunow / Gleb Retiwitsch won.
The second DSV teams with Antonia Fräbel / Nadine Herrmann (Asbach / Oberwiesenthal) and Janosch Brugger / Anian Sossau (Titisee-Neustadt / Eisenärzt) were eliminated in the semifinals.
