Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The number of proven corona infections in Baden-Württemberg continues to increase sharply.
On Sunday, the State Health Office reported 2,363 more cases, and 30 more people died in connection with the virus.
More than 4,000 new infections and 97 deaths were reported on Friday, and 3,463 new infections and 47 deaths on Saturday.
The number of cases recorded is usually lower on Sundays than on the other days of the week because not all health authorities report their data on the weekend and there is also less testing.
The number of previously proven cases in the country rose to 212,213, as the state health office announced on Sunday (as of 4:00 p.m.).
According to this, 150 363 people in Baden-Württemberg are considered recovered.
3968 people have died with a corona infection so far.
According to data from the Divi intensive care register, 592 patients are currently in intensive care (Saturday: 578).
316 of them are artificially ventilated.
