- It is connected with the fact that even before the pandemic we had too few staff, they are worn out now and need a holiday, says Marion Vaeggemose, department chairman of the care association Dalarna.

This summer, the plan was for the care staff to have their four holiday weeks in September.

But it failed in many places and the last week was planned in the autumn instead.

But the spread of infection took off again, as is well known, and now in December there are still many who have not spent their entire holiday.

- I know they are tired now, but we have too many to take care of, there are too many who are infected. So not many people will get their holiday over Christmas, says Marion Vaeggemose.
