Stuttgart (dpa) - The Bundesliga handball players at THW Kiel have survived the corona-related forced break well.

Even without the recently sick Domagoj Duvnjak, Pavel Horak and Magnus Landin, the record champion prevailed on Saturday with 34:27 (19:14) at the TVB Stuttgart.

Niclas Ekberg was the North German's best thrower with seven hits.

Viggo Kristjansson was successful six times for the host Swabians.

On his 32nd birthday, goalkeeper Niklas Landin was a great support for the “zebras”.

Based on the Dane's parades, the team of THW coach Filip Jicha took off a bit more clearly in the middle of the first half.

Sander Sagosen scored the first three-goal lead for Kiel with a 10: 7 (15th).

Five minutes later, Steffen Weinhold increased to 13: 8.

National goalkeeper Johannes Bitter then increased in the Stuttgart goal, and in the 49th minute the TVB had made the connection at 24:25.

The guests survived this critical phase and celebrated a well-deserved victory.
