Berlin (dpa) - CSU regional group leader Alexander Dobrindt sees politicians in the corona pandemic in the face of vaccination skepticism in the population in a role model function.
"It's not about a vaccination privilege, it's about a vaccination model," said Dobrindt of the German Press Agency in Berlin.
"That's why politics should be there at the beginning of the vaccination process."

If vaccinations should also be possible on the Christmas holidays after approval, this must be used.
"It's about the first vaccinations in the retirement and nursing homes."

As in Germany, the vaccinations against the corona virus are to start in other EU countries on December 27th.
The prerequisite is the approval of the vaccine from the Mainz company Biontech and the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
The recommendation for this is expected by the EU Medicines Agency EMA on December 21.
