The updated situation in Italy and in the world



There are 16,308 new cases of coronavirus, down from 17,992 yesterday.

The deaths recorded in the last 24 hours also drop, 553 while yesterday they were 674. 176,185 swabs were carried out compared to 179,800 the previous day.



Patients with symptoms in Italy are a total of 25,364, compared to yesterday -405.

In intensive care they are 2,784 (-35).

592,018 in home isolation, 7,192 less than yesterday.

The total of the currently positive is 620,166, compared to yesterday down by 7,632 units.

There are 1,249,470 people discharged and recovered, an increase of 23,384 units.

The deaths are 553 in the last 24 hours for a national total of 68,447.

The total cases are 1,938,083 (+16,308).

The swabs in the last 24 hours were 176,185 for a total of 24,991,705.



Veneto: 3,834 new positives, 114 deaths


"In Veneto 3.1 million molecular tests were performed, 1.5 million rapid. The molecular tests carried out in the last 24 hours were 18,924, the rapid 39,877 for a total of 58,801 swabs in the last 24 hours. On these swabs the coronavirus positives in the last 24 hours are 3,834 equal to 6.52% "- This was stated by Luca Zaia, president of the Veneto Region, during the coronavirus press point.

"The total positives are 213,054 since the beginning of the pandemic - he said - the current ones are 97,816. The hospitalized are 3,213, 369 in intensive care (+4), 2,844 in non-critical area (-89), 5,382 +114 deaths, discharged are 9,415 (+170) ".



Emilia Romagna: another 1,641 cases and 73 deaths, exceeding 7 thousand deaths


Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 153,844 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 1,641 more than yesterday, out of a total of 13,851 swabs performed in last 24 hours.

The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 11.8%.

Unfortunately, there are 73 new deaths.

In total, 7,023 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.

In the last 24 hours, 13,851 swabs were performed, for a total of 2,412,286.

To these are also added 514 serological tests and 3,625 rapid swabs carried out since yesterday.

As for the total number of people healed, they are 2,944 more than yesterday and reach 85,872.

The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 60,949 (-1,376 compared to yesterday).

Of these, 57,924 people (-1,430) are in isolation at home, more than 95% of the total number of active cases.

There are 206 patients admitted to intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday), 2,819 those in the other Covid departments (+55).  



Lazio, 1410 cases out of 15 thousand swabs, Rome is back under 700


"Today out of 15 thousand swabs in Lazio (-932) there are 1,410 positive cases (-18), 41 deaths (-33) and +1,939 cured".

Thus the regional councilor for health Alessio D'Amato.

"Cases, deaths, hospitalizations and intensive care are decreasing - continues D'Amato -. The ratio between positives and swabs is stable at 9%. Cases in Rome city are back below 700 (631). Maintain maximum rigor and avoid gatherings during shopping. "



In Puglia 1,382 new positives and 26 deaths


There are 1,382 new cases of coronavirus registered in Puglia. This was reported by the Region. The swabs carried out were 10,848. Of the 566 positives were recorded in the province of Bari, 49 in the province of Brindisi, 153 in the BAT province, 241 in the Foggiano, 55 in the province of Lecce, 309 in the province of Taranto, 6 residents outside the region and 3 cases of unknown residence. In the last 24 hours, there were 26 deaths: 18 in the province of Bari, 5 in the province of Foggia, 2 in the province of Lecce, 1 in the province of Taranto. The currently positive number reaches 53,389.



In Friuli Venezia Giulia 974 new infections, declining deaths and hospitalizations


Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia were

974 new infections were detected on 12,921 swabs (equal to 7.54%), of which 1,825 rapid antigenic.

Deaths decreased (8 cases plus 1 previous case, 23 fewer than yesterday) and intensive care (55 total, -4) and hospitalizations in other departments (594, -7) also improved.

This was announced by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.

The people who tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to a total of 44,533.

The current cases of infection are 14,127. 



Sardinia: 380 new positive cases, 9 deaths


A total of 28,075 cases of Covid-19 positivity have been ascertained in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency.

In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 380 new cases were detected.

There are also 9 deaths (653 in all), four men and five women between 74 and 97 years.

A total of 444,991 swabs were performed with an increase of 4,068 tests.

On the other hand, 533 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (fourteen less than yesterday's figure), while the number of patients in intensive care is 52 (-1).

There are 15,091 people in home isolation.

The progressive number of positive cases includes 11,504 (+287) patients recovered, plus another 242 clinically recovered.



369 new cases in the Marche


369 new positive cases were registered in the Marche out of 5,082 swabs carried out.

There are 65 hospitalized in intensive care.



In Umbria 219 new infections on over 5,000 tampons


There are 219 new infections at Covid detected in Umbria in the last 24 hours, on over 5,000 tampons (5,158), with a positive rate of 4.24 % which therefore continues to decline, after yesterday's 4.9 and the previous day's 5.3.

According to the official data of the Region, updated to date, 193 (22,604 in total) and six deaths (559 since the beginning of the pandemic) were healed on the last day.

The currently positives are 3,965.

The hospitalized are 302, six less than yesterday, of which 41 are in intensive care (yesterday they were 43).

The total cases registered in Umbria are 27,128.

the swabs performed so far are 475,045.



In Abruzzo 156 cases and 9 deaths


156 new coronavirus cases have been ascertained in the last hours in Abruzzo.

3,989 swabs emerged from the analysis: 3.91% of the samples were positive.

To see such low percentages you have to go back to the beginning of October.

Nine recent deaths, which bring the death toll to 1,120.

Despite the declining data, after days of rapid reduction there is a slight increase in hospitalizations, which go from 601 yesterday to 608 today (+7).

Of the nine deaths, two occurred in recent days, but were only communicated today by the competent ASL.

The currently positive for the virus are 235 fewer and drop to 12,940: 565 patients (+6) are hospitalized in non-intensive care and 43 (+1) are in intensive care.

The other 12,332 (-242) are in home isolation.

The healed are 380 more, for a total of 19,195 people.  



In Valle d'Aosta 23 positives and one death


There are 23 new cases of contagion recorded in the last 24 hours in Valle d'Aosta, 358 swabs carried out.

28 people recovered and only 1 died.

Currently there are 494 positives of which 76 are hospitalized (38 at the Parioni hospital, 32 at the Isav, 6 at the field hospital);

4 in intensive care;

414 in home isolation.
