The forum aims to strengthen the medical technology exchanges between China and ASEAN countries in the field of intervention, expand the international influence of China's interventional ultrasound, and promote the improvement of mutual medical standards.

  The forum was sponsored by the Guangxi Medical Doctor Association and hosted by the PLA General Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University.

  The conference adopts an online + offline model, with experts in the domestic ultrasound industry and 30 experts from Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries for online communication and interaction.

  At the opening ceremony, Zhao Jinmin, President of Guangxi Medical Association and President of Guangxi Medical University, delivered a speech.

He said that Guangxi has signed cloud contracts with hospitals in Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and other countries to build a cross-border medical cooperation platform. It is an important channel for building a new international medical cooperation platform, promoting domestic and overseas interventional ultrasound cooperation, and realizing the complementary advantages of medical resources and technology. It is also a major event that directly benefits the majority of patients and benefits the people’s livelihood.

  Chen Junqiang, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, said that as the chairman unit of the China-ASEAN Hospital Cooperation Alliance, the hospital has long been committed to establishing a long-term and sustainable medical cooperation "ecological circle" with ASEAN countries.

  "I believe this forum will lay a solid foundation for better optimization of medical technology exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in the field of interventional ultrasound in the next stage." Chen Junqiang said that the hospital is willing to cooperate with ASEAN countries to strengthen health technology cooperation. The theme is to improve people's health as the main line, forge ahead in concert, expand cooperation space, and seek to jointly build a new model of China-ASEAN medical technology cooperation.

  The two-day forum will mainly focus on the clinical application of interventional ultrasound, including the minimally invasive treatment of systemic multi-organ tumors with ablation technology, the application of new technologies such as fusion imaging, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of interventional ultrasound. Conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges in the content areas of interventional ultrasound talent training, team building, and international exchanges and cooperation.
