The "Southern Transitional" backed by Abu Dhabi declared at the time this year the Autonomous Administration in Aden, and battles broke out between it and government forces.

Saudi Arabia has worked for more than a year to form a new government in Yemen in order to end the differences between the legitimate government and the "transitional" government in order to be devoted to fighting the Houthis, who are close to controlling Marib, the last stronghold of the legitimate authority in the north.

The formation of the new government came two weeks after the separation of government forces and the "transitional" forces and their redeployment in the south, which would lead to their return to the fighting fronts against the Houthis in the north and outside Aden.
