Joe Biden's vaccination scheduled for Monday

President-elect Joe Biden is due to be vaccinated on Monday, also live on television.

As for Donald Trump, who was infected with the virus earlier this year, he has so far given no indication on when he might also bow to the exercise.

"The president is ready to be vaccinated and will do so as soon as his medical team deems it appropriate," said spokesman Kayleigh McEnany this week.

The United States is preparing to authorize a second vaccine against the disease.

A committee of experts ruled Thursday in favor of the emergency authorization of Moderna, which augurs well for a positive decision from the US Medicines Agency (FDA) expected on Friday.
