The U.S. Department of Commerce has put SMIC, the largest semiconductor consignment manufacturer in China, and DJI in China, the world's largest drone manufacturer, on a trade blacklist.



SMIC has a link with the Chinese military, and DJI is accused of violating human rights in China through gene collection.



US Commerce Secretary Ross raised the level of pressure on China, saying, "We will not allow US advanced technology to help the enemy build military power."



The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly opposed the crackdown on Chinese companies.
