  • On June 29, 2015, Frédéric Guittard was found dead, shot dead, in his apartment completely turned over.

  • His ex-wife and one of his friends were sentenced on appeal Thursday to twenty years in prison, a heavier sentence than at first instance for the co-accused.

The Maine-et-Loire Assize Court has delivered its verdict.

Thursday evening, she sentenced a 55-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man to twenty years of criminal imprisonment on appeal for the assassination of Frédéric Guittard, a 51-year-old executive found shot dead at Le Mans in June 2015.

The Advocate General had required twenty years against Touria Rafjaoui, the ex-wife of Frédéric Guittard, sentence consistent with that pronounced at first instance, and thirty years against his co-accused, Jean-François Ornano.

The latter had been sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment for "complicity in assassination" by the assizes of Sarthe in February 2019.

Me Jonathan Proust, lawyer for the brother and one of the sisters of Frédéric Guittard, said he was "very relieved" by this verdict "which poses that Jean-François Ornano is indeed the murderer and that Touria Rafjaoui accompanied the criminal enterprise ”.

Killed with three bullets

On June 29, 2015, Frédéric Guittard, commercial director of the Maison Prunier rillette company, in Connerré (Sarthe), was found dead, killed by three bullets, in his apartment completely turned over.

According to the investigation, a dispute over the division of property and the amount of pensions to be paid to the children had broken out between him and his partner.

She was looking to recover a compromising file on her sex life, which her husband, with whom she frequented swingers clubs, threatened to reveal.

She would have called on two Corsican friends to achieve her ends.

But after thirteen days of debate, the Assize Court of Sarthe had not succeeded in designating the shooter.

Originally, three defendants had been returned to the assizes.

But, one of the co-defendants, Magalie Pinardaud, had committed suicide ten days before the first trial at Le Mans.

Jean-François Ornano "accepts the sentence on behalf of the couple he formed with Magalie Pinardaud but he maintains that he is not the author of the murder", reacted his lawyer Pascal Rouiller.

Me Sébastien Balzarini-Noachovitch had asked him Wednesday for the release of Touria Rafjaoui.

"She never wanted her husband dead," he said.
