As a representative of the US Department of Justice noted, these are radiation-resistant chips, which, according to the American side, were sent to Russia through Bulgaria without the necessary licenses.

“Time and time again, we find that the Russians are trying to gain access to sensitive American technology,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers. 

Earlier, the US Department of Justice accused six Russian citizens of involvement in a series of hacker attacks.
