The Norwegian Big Globe title holder Aleksander Aamodt Kilde claimed his first victory of the season on Friday by winning the super-G in Val Gardena.

At the bottom of the selective Italian track, the 28-year-old Scandinavian athlete edged Switzerland's Mauro Caviezel by 12 hundredths, who conquered his second super-G podium in less than a week after his victory last weekend at Valley of Isere.

Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud takes third place (21 hundredths), signing his seventh super-G podium on the Val Gardena track since 2011.

Switzerland's Marco Odermatt, thanks to the points associated with his ninth place on the track in the Dolomites, takes the lead in the overall World Cup standings ahead of Frenchman Alex Pinturault, who did not compete in this race.

On the French side, Nils Allègre (6th) and Johan Clarey (7th) climbed into the Top 10 while Adrien Théaux finished 13th.
