Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) - In the trial against a 41-year-old right-wing extremist, no verdict was passed on Friday at the Mönchengladbach district court.

As on the day of the trial two weeks ago, two witnesses did not appear.

Negotiations will now take place on January 8th.

The 41-year-old is accused of inciting insult.

The trial concerns a pig's head and a blood bag that were placed in front of a mosque in Mönchengladbach at the end of May 2019.

The 41-year-old is said to have instigated two men who have since been convicted of the crime.

One had received a penalty order of 1200 euros.

The second, 35-year-old man, was sentenced to an eight-month suspended sentence and payment of 900 euros in August.

He had confessed to having sprayed a swastika on the mosque wall.

The 41-year-old denied in the process that he had anything to do with the action.

The allegations are constructed and an act of revenge by the two convicts.

They had testified that the 41-year-old had given them the order to put the pig's head in front of the mosque.
