The municipality of Dibba Fujairah closed three pharmacies, and violated eight during the current year, to raise the prices of sterilizers, and not to adhere to the circulars issued by the municipality regarding precautionary measures to protect society from the Corona virus, in addition to selling expired materials of food and cosmetics.

Nine violations were recorded on laundries and laundries, most of which were represented in the absence or renewal of workers' health cards, and the exercise of an activity not mentioned in the license.

The director general of the municipality, Engineer Hassan Salem Al Yamahi, stressed that the application of laws to establishments that do not comply with health requirements will not be complacent, indicating that the Public Services and Environment Department carried out 185 visits to pharmacies, in addition to 201 visits to laundries during the past six months of this year. Violations of public hygiene and cleanliness of food and cosmetic materials were detected, in addition to the confiscation of expired food and cosmetic materials.

Al Yamahi stated that the campaigns carried out by the Department of Control and Health reflect the municipality’s keenness to achieve an ideal balance in preserving consumer rights and not to manipulate prices, as the department carried out inspection campaigns in various areas in Dibba Al Fujairah city, including commercial activities, which resulted in many violations that varied.
