Düsseldorf (AP) - The German record champions Borussia Düsseldorf have won the table tennis Champions League for the sixth time.
In the final of the one-week tournament format in their own hall, Timo Boll's team defeated the reigning German champions 1. FC Saarbrücken 3-1 on Friday evening.
The decisive player in the final was the Swede Anton Källberg, who defeated both Saarbrücken's top players, the German national player Patrick Franziska and the Chinese Shang Kun.
Record European champion Boll also won his game against Shang in 3-2 sets.
The only point for the Saarlanders was the Slovenian Darko Jorgic against Düsseldorf's second Swede Kristian Karlsson.
