Los Angeles (AP) - For pop star Billie Eilish, it was “a special honor” and at the same time “exciting and crazy” to contribute the title song for the new James Bond film “No Time to Die”.

“We knew we wanted to do something big,” said the 18-year-old in a video conversation with the film portal “Variety”.

“Because it's Bond!

It's a big deal. "

She and her brother, producer Finneas O'Connell (22), who wrote the ballad “No Time To Die” with her, wanted to do “their best” with it.

Oscar winner Hans Zimmer (63, “The Lion King”) described the song as “incredibly poetic and elegant” and “mysterious”.

The German star composer, who created the soundtrack for the agent thriller, was immediately won over by the song.

Last year you had to choose the right song from many songs, said Zimmer in the discussion group.

This was clearly the only one "with class, charm, integrity, musicality and beauty" who was different and new.

"It gets under your skin," enthused Zimmer.

“I heard the song and said,“ Don't want to hear anything else.

That's it!"".

The theme song for the 25th James Bond film was released in February.

Actually, “No Time to Die” should have come to the cinema last April.

Due to the coronavirus crisis, the start date has been postponed several times, most recently to April 2021. For lead actor Daniel Craig it is the last deployment as secret agent 007.
