The first exams of the 2021 bac, scheduled for March, are fast approaching.

Parents, students and teachers are worried about an examination made "unequal" by the "differences in treatment" of high school students across France.

While some benefit from extensive monitoring, others find themselves on their own.

In his high school in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, Manelle has lessons every day, but only on half days.

When she is at home, this Terminale student mostly has homework to do, rarely videoconference lessons.

Impossible to see the whole program under these conditions.

"In maths specialty, my teacher clearly told us that there would be chapters that we should do alone at home. I find that unacceptable."

Manelle is not the only one to get annoyed with these partial courses.

And the conditions are not the same according to the high schools, parents, students and teachers are worried about an "unequal" 2021 bac.

"The treatments are different across France. Some schools have equipped themselves with webcams for online lessons, others not, for lack of means. We cannot do a baccalaureate which is meant to be egalitarian when all our children do not. do not have the same treatment, ”explains Rodrigo Arenas, co-president of the Federation of Parents' Councils (Fcpe).

Scheduled for the month of March, the first exams of the 2021 bac are fast approaching.

Several teachers' groups have already requested that they be postponed a few weeks later. 

"High school students are not doing well"

Because since the start of confinement, great inequalities have emerged between the students.

While some are on their own, others benefit from extensive follow-up within their school, have access at home to sufficient space to work in good conditions and can count on a parent to help them. give a hand.

"Me, I feel it pretty well. We are quite prepared because we have six hours of lessons per specialty. We had a white bac over the last two days so we already know in the idea how it will happen", testifies Alexia , serene student of an establishment in the 8th arrondissement.

And beyond the academic question, Rodrigo Arenas also points to a "moral question".

"The high school students are not doing well. We do not take into account the psychological aspect of confinement, yet we cannot ask the pupils to be in the same examination conditions as the other years."

An important debate since the marks of these early tests are taken into account by Parcoursup, in fact determining the orientation of the pupils.
