A preliminary investigation into facts of moral and sexual harassment within the National School of Architecture of Montpellier (Hérault) was opened "recently", the prosecutor, Fabrice Bélargent told AFP on Wednesday.

"There is no complaint stricto sensu but a denunciation of several teachers of the school," said the prosecutor, confirming information from

Midi Libre.

A harmful climate at school was denounced in May by Le D'Oc, based on the conclusions of a pre-report on psychosocial risks in the establishment.

Comments and behaviors relating to moral harassment and possible sexual or gender-based violence targeting students, teachers or administrative staff were denounced internally by about twenty people and gave rise to an administrative investigation by the General Inspectorate of cultural affairs.

On the penal level, about fifteen teachers made a report to the public prosecutor of Montpellier at the end of October.

At the same time, tags had covered the walls of the school.

In particular, one could read in black on a white background “complicity” and “harassment”, as well as the names of certain members of the management.
