Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The rescue package for local public transport (ÖPNV) in Baden-Württemberg is to be continued in the coming year.

The state parliamentary groups of the Greens and the CDU had released a corresponding cabinet proposal, said the state parliament member Elke Zimmer (Greens) on Thursday.

For the bus companies affected by the corona pandemic, this means bridging aid of 65 million euros for the first months of 2021. Zimmer demanded that the federal government should follow suit with another rescue package.

It is important to avoid bankruptcies.
