On the 16th local time, the director-general meeting of the Joint Commission on the Comprehensive Agreement on the Iranian Nuclear Issue was held via video conference. The meeting discussed the latest implementation of the Iranian nuclear agreement.

At the meeting, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Araghei said that the Iranian government will respect the decision of the parliament and implement the "Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law" after necessary legal procedures.

On January 8, local time, satellite images showed that some buildings of the Ain al-Asad US Air Force base in western Iraq were obviously damaged after being hit by a rocket from Iran.

Araghei said that European countries always hope that Iran can exercise restraint and restrain all illegal hostile behaviors such as U.S. sanctions, the destruction of Iran’s Natanz nuclear facilities, and the assassination of Iran’s nuclear scientists. However, Iran should not act for other countries. Illegal acts pay the bill, and all parties to the agreement should make efforts to safeguard the Iran nuclear agreement.

At the same time, Araghzi said that Europe always emphasizes the principle of democracy and should not expect the Iranian government to ignore the parliamentary decision and abandon the "Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law". The Iranian government will implement the law after necessary legal procedures.

Regarding the issue of the United States returning to the Iran nuclear agreement, Araghci said that Iran must see the actions of the United States, not words or speculations.

On December 10, local time, Iran’s "Official Gazette" published the "Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law" passed by the parliament. According to relevant regulations, the law will come into effect 15 days from the date of issuance.

The law has a total of 9 clauses that stipulate specific measures for Iran’s nuclear program, including the production of enriched uranium with an abundance of 20% and more than 20% for peaceful purposes; the use of new centrifuges; the design and construction of a new heavy water reactor, etc., and It is emphasized that if the signatories of the Iranian nuclear agreement violate the content of the agreement, Iran’s relations with international banks have not been completely normalized, the export barriers of Iran’s petroleum and chemical products have not been completely eliminated, and Iran cannot quickly obtain oil revenues, Iran will take effect in this law. Months later, the voluntary implementation of the additional protocol of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement was suspended.
