Neu-Ulm (dpa) - Around 80 police forces searched four apartments in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia and found 160 kilograms of cocaine, among other things.

Five men between the ages of 23 and 40 are suspected of having traded cocaine and marijuana, the police said on Thursday.

During the searches on Wednesday in the Neu-Ulm district, the Alb-Donau district and the cities of Ulm and Unna, the emergency services found not only cocaine but also small amounts of marijuana, amphetamine, methadone tablets, alarm pistols, knives, brass knuckles and 1200 euros in cash.

According to the police, four of the five accused were first arrested and then released.

A 23-year-old suspect is now in custody at the request of the Memmingen public prosecutor.
