In Argentina, the Russian vaccine will be distributed first.

It's on the front page of

Clarin

.

The vaccine arrives on December 23, in 600,000 doses.

The vaccination can therefore begin before the end of the year as promised by President Alberto Fernandez

"

, writes

Clarin

.

However, some would have preferred the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine, especially people who participated in clinical trials of the American-German vaccine.

They are 6,000 Argentinian volunteers who took the risk of being vaccinated last August to help the laboratory verify the safety and efficacy of its product.

Four of them testify today in the columns of

Clarin

.

And all are furious that, unlike other countries, Argentina could not get the vaccine for which they played the guinea pig.

Officially, the company poses "

unacceptable conditions for the purchase of the vaccine

", explain the Argentine authorities, remarks that cause frustration in Maria Isabel Sanchez, one of the volunteers.

“

I feel useless

,” she explains to Clarin.

After all, I participated in the tests so that Argentinians could also benefit from the vaccine.

And now it is not yet accessible, it is dramatic.

Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc in Canada

And particularly in Quebec, which is already the most affected province.

The newspaper

Le Devoir

reports a "

significant increase in Covid-19 cases in Montreal.

At least thirty outbreaks are underway in hospitals in the metropolis,

 ”writes the French-language newspaper.

Last Tuesday, Quebec entered partial containment as the holidays approach.

Holidays that will however be particularly joyous in a Canadian family in Abbotsford, British Columbia: a 37-year-old woman, suffering from Covid-19 and plunged into an artificial coma, gave birth to her first son.

Last week she was woken up so she could see little Travis Len for the first time.

The mother must remain in intensive care but her condition is stable.

A great Christmas story to read in the

Record mortality among young Americans, linked to coronavirus

The coronavirus is affecting more and more young people, it is also the case in the United States, as confirmed by a new study that the

New York Times is

talking about

today.

The result is very disturbing: July of this year was the deadliest month for young adults in the history of the country.

In “normal” times, around 11,000 adults between the ages of 25 and 44 die each year during the month of July.

In 2020, they were 16,000, so 5,000 more.

An upward trend linked to the coronavirus and which continued this fall, writes The

New York Times

, citing the

Journal of the American Medical Association

.

The daily compares the situation today with the fight against AIDS.

We know this pandemic is killing young people so we shouldn't wait too long to take necessary action

 ," writes The

New York Times

.

We must tell them to respect the barrier gestures

", continues the newspaper, before concluding: "

these precautions are all the more important as these young people will not be the first to be vaccinated.

The only way to protect yourself against Covid-19 is to change your behavior.
