The first weekend in July is a holy date for the rallycross competitions in Höljes and for the 2021 competition there will be no deviation from tradition, as long as Finnskoga Motorklubb agrees on a new agreement with the promoter who takes over after leaving IMG.

Finnskoga MK had an agreement with IMG that extended to 2023 but it is now broken, reports VF.

- I do not feel any concern that our place in the WC will be threatened, I think that no matter which promoter it will be, it will want to have Höljes in the calendar, says Morgan Östlund, general manager for the WC competition and chairman of Finnskoga MK, to VF.

Can be audience-free again

This year's World Cup race was held in front of empty stands, in August, and it is still unclear to what extent audiences will be able to be welcomed to the motor stadium next year.

- At the moment, we have to work towards a similar approach as last summer, then it will be a bonus if we can bring in an audience, says Morgan Östlund to VF.

In addition to the WC, the EC for RX1 (formerly Supercar), the electric car class RX2e and Euro RX3 (formerly Super 1600) will also be run in Höljes.

The World Cup calendar 2021 consists of ten competitions and begins in Belgium May 22-23.
