The outstanding student, Fahad Ayoub Al-Awadi, is preparing, with the beginning of the new year 2021, to travel to the United States to enroll at the University of "Colorado Boulder", to study aeronautical engineering, influenced by the country's efforts to explore outer space.

The 18-year-old student confirmed that he seeks to have a distinctive imprint in the space field, indicating his keenness to continue developing his skills, through his endeavor to participate in various educational and scientific competitions, and to obtain advanced positions in them.

Al-Awadi had won the gold medal in the "Internet of Things" program for students at Hamdan Smart University twice, in 2018 and 2019.

His experience with the Emirates Association for the Gifted began in 2015, when he participated in the IQ Test with a wide range of students nationwide, and he obtained a high IQ score, with a score of 144, as the test measures IQ and IQ.

It also measures mental comprehension speed, or what is called agility of mind, and mental intelligence.

Al-Awadi stresses that his passion for aeronautical engineering is born with the country's efforts to explore outer space through the "Hope Probe", and the "Khalifa Sat" and "Dubai Sat 1 and 2" satellites.

He believes that aeronautical engineering, which he chose as a scientific specialization in his first university station, paves the way for him to contribute to the organization and development of the space sector in the country, and the consolidation of a knowledge-based economy, describing his studies as a branch of space engineering science, as it specializes in designing vehicles that operate in Space, like the space shuttle, and space stations.

Al-Awadi chose the University of Colorado Boulder to study for its contribution to the UAE project to explore Mars (the Hope Probe).

Al-Awadi explained that “the probe carries three instruments for measuring and studying the atmosphere of Mars, and it weighs about 1,350 kilograms, the size of a small car.

It was designed and built by the engineers of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, in collaboration with known knowledge transfer partners, namely the University of Colorado at Boulder (Space and Atmospheric Physics Laboratory), University of California at Berkeley (Space Science Labs), and Arizona State University (College of Earth and Space Exploration). .

He is keen to enroll in various training programs inside and outside the country, the latest of which is the Future Leaders Program of the Khalifa Empowerment Program "Aqdar", where he was sent to the United Kingdom to join the Royal Military Academy "Sandhurst" in the summer of 2019.

Al-Awadi recently graduated from the International School of Arts and Sciences in Dubai with a score of 96.4%.

He says that he owes his credit in the first place for his successes to date, to his school administration, which spared no effort to support him and push him forward to continue the path of success.

Student Fahad Ayoub Al-Awadi is closely related to the sport of football. He joined Al Wasl club in Dubai at the age of nine, and he belongs to the club's reserve team, and plays as a goalkeeper.


Al-Awadi has internal and external sports appearances, such as those in Germany in 2016, and the "Club World Cup" in Portugal in 2012.

He holds first place in the "Internet of Things" and "Artificial Intelligence" for "Smart Hamdan" students.
