The Ministry of Health and Community Protection revealed that its facilities were honored by the International Hospital Federation (IHF) in a competition among the top 100 health institutions around the world from 28 countries, in appreciation of their excellence and efforts in innovative and proactive response as an integrated and comprehensive strategic system of work at all levels, which was the reason for the superiority and distinction. The ministry is facing "Covid-19".

This is in a new achievement that adds to the record of the United Arab Emirates, and contributes to strengthening its global competitive position in the field of health care.

This achievement is based on the diversity and flexibility of the ministry’s sectors in responding to emergency conditions, by adopting, implementing and adopting new ways of working. This has contributed to accelerating the positive transformation in the provision of health care and optimally controlling the repercussions of "Covid-19", after the completion of a comprehensive evaluation of plans. The response set by the Ministry by a specialized international committee consisting of international experts in the health sector.

The honoring of the Ministry was announced on the official website, during a virtual ceremony organized by the International Hospital Federation, to reveal the results of the "Responding to the Call of Duty to Confront Covid-19" program, which was recently launched by the Federation, to honor health care organizations and providers of care services around the world, which were distinguished In providing the humanitarian imperative by developing innovative plans and taking effective measures to confront "Covid-19".

The Undersecretary of the Ministry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services, Dr. Muhammad Salim Al-Olama, affirmed that the UAE has achieved global leadership in dealing with the "Covid-19" epidemic, based on the effective and integrated strategy it has devised, and the application of proactive plans and precautionary and preventive measures, thus providing a unique model. It reflects the accumulated experience in crisis management and future planning, to strengthen its leadership in developing best practices globally and protecting the state's gains at all levels.

The scholars pointed out that this global honor confirms the efficiency of the country's health system, the results of its long investment in the digital health infrastructure, and the attraction of medical innovations to improve health care methods.

Smart platform

The Director General of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services, Dr. Yusuf Muhammad Al Serkal, expressed his pride and pride in the Ministry of Health and Community Protection winning this honor, which is a distinguished achievement for the UAE in a unique global forum that brings together the most important health care organizations and national and international hospitals.

He pointed out that the Ministry has established the PaCE Covid Hub platform, which is a smart and integrated platform for responding to “Covid-19” cases, and contributes to decision-making and management of beds and cases in hospitals, isolation and critical care departments, by providing live and real-time data for the cases received from Hospitals and National Ambulance, Operations Center, Primary Health Care and Preventive Medicine, to receive and reorganize cases according to their classification and direct them to hospitals according to the availability of beds, and the health service was one of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection's proactive initiatives in infrastructure and digital health to confront the pandemic.
